Nourishment for the work that matters most.
I just want to remind you of something—in case no one has said it lately.
You are doing beautiful, holy work.
Not just when your house is clean.
Not only the days dinner makes it to the table on time.
Not because everyone remembered their shoes (or not) before leaving the house.
But because, day after day, you're learning to faithfully love the people God has entrusted to you.
And that kind of work matters.
Some days it feels like you're training for an Olympic event no one prepared you for.
Fold the laundry.
Pack the snack bag.
Call the doctor.
Change the diaper.
Run to Costco.
Help one child work through big emotions while reminding another to brush their teeth.
Somewhere in the middle of it all, you're supposed to remember what you walked into the room for.
If you've ever looked around at the dishes, the endless laundry, the unfinished to-do list, and wondered,
"What am I even doing with my life?"
You're not alone.
What if the story isn't what you think it is?
I've realized that the hardest part of building a home isn't usually the work itself.
It's the story I'm telling myself while I'm doing it.
That I'm behind.
That I'm failing.
That everyone else seems to have it together.
That these ordinary days don't really matter.
But God keeps gently interrupting those stories with something better.
His gracious words remind me that love is never wasted.
That my labor isn't unseen.
That the quiet work of serving, forgiving, encouraging, and beginning again is shaping something eternal.
The words I believe eventually shape the life I live.
They shape how I see God.
How I see myself. How I love my family.
And whether I cling tightly to control...or open my hands in surrender.
I don't have this figured out.
I'm simply learning, one ordinary day at a time, to exchange the hurried, discouraging stories I naturally tell myself for the life-giving words of Christ.
And as I keep my eyes on Him, I'm discovering that surrender isn't something I grit my teeth to accomplish.
It's the natural response to trusting the One whose words are always true.
"Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin…"
-Zechariah 4:10
Instead of trying to carry all of this on my own, I began gathering the things that kept pointing my heart back to Christ.
A verse I didn't want to forget.
A story God was writing in the middle of an ordinary Tuesday.
A practical idea that created a little more margin for what mattered most.
Little reminders that the work I was doing at home was never ordinary in God's eyes.
I tucked them into journals, slipped them into my Bible, scribbled them on sticky notes, and shared them with friends whenever they needed encouragement.
Little by little, I realized I couldn't be the only one who needed these reminders.
So I started putting them in an envelope.
Today, that envelope is called The Honeycomb Letter.
It would be such a joy to send one to you.
Each month, you'll receive thoughtfully gathered encouragement to help you keep your eyes on Christ and build a home where His gracious words become the story you live by.
Inside each month's envelope, you'll find...
A personal, scripture-centered letter sharing something beautiful God has been teaching me and how it has gently reshaped the way I see my home, my family, and the ordinary work of loving them well.
A beautiful keepsake—a small reminder of God's truth to enjoy, display, or pass along to someone else.
A meaningful companion piece inspired by the month's theme, such as scripture art, a recipe, a song card, or another beautiful addition to help you carry that month's encouragement into your home.
Practical ideas, family traditions, and carefully selected recommendations to help create more margin for the people and moments that matter most.
Access to The Hive, where the encouragement continues with resources, family inspiration, and simple ways to help you and your family live out the month's message together.
My prayer is that every mailing helps you feel seen, encouraged, and equipped as you exchange the hurried, discouraging stories of everyday life for the life-giving words of Christ.
The Honeycomb Letter
Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and health to the body.
-Proverbs 16:24
Each month, I gather the Scripture, honest stories, beautiful keepsakes, practical encouragement, and carefully chosen resources that God has been using to keep pointing my own heart back to Him.
Then I tuck them into an envelope and send them to you with the hope that they'll encourage your heart, too.
My prayer is that together we'll keep taking deeper root in Christ so His love may flourish within our homes and overflow into the people and places He has entrusted to us.
The Hive is where the encouragement continues.
It's a place for you and your family to dive deeper into the ideas explored in each month's Honeycomb Letter through thoughtfully gathered resources, meaningful inspiration, and simple ways to bring that month's truth into the everyday rhythms of your home.
My hope is that The Hive helps you keep your eyes on Christ, continue the conversation long after you've finished reading the letter, and discover practical ways to build a home where His gracious words become the story you live by.
